Well, if it was good enough for Al Mohler, I figured I could try it out too.
“It” being sudoku, that is.
After a few puzzles, I’ve figured out there is some common ground between sudoku and systematic theology:
- A child can learn the basics, but some of the problems can be inscrutable to the wisest.
- One mistake will throw off everything, even though it may not be apparent at first.
- Stretches your brain and challenges your intellect.
- A few fundamental rules help everything to fall into place.
- The further along you go, the easier it becomes to “connect the dots.”
- The inter-relationships can be both simple and complex.
- Sometimes, you just need to put it down, get outside, and do something else (like listen to Charlie Peacock’s song Lady Soul)
- If you’re not mindful, you can spending more time on it than worshipping and serving Christ.
